Im Zeitraum vom 10.11.2019 – 29.11.2019 befanden sich drei Schülerinnen des zweiten Ausbildungsjahres zur staatlich anerkannten Erzieherin im Auslandspraktikum in Irland, Dublin. Die Schülerinnen absolvierten drei Wochen Ihres Praxismoduls „Ausprägung der Planungs-, Gestaltungs- und Reflexionsfähigkeit in der Arbeit mit Kindern im Alter von 0 – 10 Jahren“ dort.
Ziel des Praktikums war das Kennenlernen eines anderen Bildungssystems sowie die praktische pädagogische Tätigkeit mit Kindern.
Unsere Schülerinnen lernten schnell alltägliche Begriffe und konnten sich gut mit den Kindern und Pädagoginnen verständigen.
Dass Bildung und Erziehung sich in Irland stark von dem System in Deutschland unterscheiden, war allen schnell klar.
In der zweiten Woche des Praktikums durften zwei Lehrerinnen unserer Schule, Frau Schult und Frau Knabe, die Schülerinnen besuchen. Nach einem gemeinsamen Abendessen am ersten Tag besuchten wir am Sonntag die Insel Howth. Es war ein kleines Abenteuer, welches viele tolle Eindrücke bereithielt.
Internship abroad in Ireland – Dublin
In the period from November 10th, 2019 to November 29th, 2019 there were three students in their second year of training as a state-recognized teacher in an internship abroad in Ireland, Dublin. The students completed three weeks of their practical module „Development of planning, design and reflection skills when working with children aged 0-10 years“ there.
The aim of the internship was to get to know another educational system and to do practical pedagogical work with children.
Our students quickly learned everyday terms and were able to communicate well with the children and educators.
It quickly became clear to everyone that education and upbringing in Ireland were very different from the system in Germany.
In the second week of the internship, two teachers from our school, Ms. Schult and Ms. Knabe, were allowed to visit the students. After dinner together on the first day, we visited Howth Island on Sunday. It was a little adventure, which had many great impressions.
Ms. Schult and Ms. Knabe then had the opportunity to brush up on their English skills at ADC College. The internships took place on Thursday and Friday. We would have loved to know more about the Irish education system.
